During weekend May 10-12 as many as 2.400 Austrian students (from Vienna and Graz) held a manifestation called „Spring Jam 2008“ for the second time in tourist settlement Laterna in Porec, this time under motto „Legendary at the seaside“. During that weekend it seemed if Laterna had turned into real party center in Porec- beautiful sunny weather, music on the beach all day long, young people dancing to techno and other music styles.

This active weekend comprised all-day and all-night sports and entertaining activities. Students played beach volleyball, tennis, drove kart races and played paintball and drove Jet Ski. Two Austrian bands, Großstadtgeflüster and Guadalajara, as well as seven DJ’s were in charge of entertaining program, which also included indispensable karaoke, Miss Wet T-shirt and Mr. Six-pack Contest, speed dating and enjoying the sunrise in early morning hours.

It needs to be mentioned that the students were accompanied by the famous TV- station MTV Austria during the whole weekend. Clips and reports on this cheerful youth gathering shall be broadcasted five weeks in a row, three times a week at this TV station, which represents a good promotion of Porec and Austria in Austria.

In the end, promoters thanked employees of Laterna and Porec Rivera on an excellent organisation of the event and food and beverage distribution.
