This autumn, five Valamar hotels have been awarded the HACCP certificates for quality and regular management for safety of food products, whereas three more, that had been awarded this certificate last year, have successfully fulfilled the criteria of this year’s inspection. This year’s laureates for the HACCP certificates are the following hotels: Valamar Crystal, Valamar Rubin and Valamar Club Tamaris from Pore? and Valamar Bellevue and Albona from Rabac. The hotels that have successfully passed the re-assessment are Valamar Sanfior from Rabac, Valamar Diamant from Pore? und Dubrovnik President from Dubrovnik.

The assessment, respectively certification that included the inspection of production and serving of food in Istrian hotels has been conducted by the company “SGS Systems & Services Certification”, and in Dubrovnik by the firm “BVQI”. The certificate is valid for a period of three years under supervision of system implementation that the certification companies will conduct annually.

In order to provide high quality and safety of food products in preparation and serving in their hotels, Valamar will also in the following years continue with considerable investments in this area. For the fulfillment of the prerequisites necessary for further HACCP certification six hotels, two camps and two apartment villages will in 2008 invest more than one million Kuna.
