During these cold winter days we would all probably prefer crawling up on the couch under a warm blanket and enjoying the warmth of our home. In the winter time our body tells our brain that it is cold outside and that it needs more fat and that is the reason why we eat more during the winter and, naturally, put on additional, unwanted weight. However, don’t worry; there is a solution to this problem. Instead of sitting down in front of the TV, put on some warm clothes and go for a walk, a speed walk or a run.
Walking is the most natural and healthiest movement a man makes. This type of physical activity is the most simple and the most appropriate one for all people, whether they are healthy or ill and regardless of their age. Walking, especially through nature, combined with suitable exercise has a beneficial effect on our organism and generally on our psychological and physical condition.
It has been scientifically proven and confirmed in everyday life that regular exercise and walks through nature at least three times a week in the duration from 30 to 60 minutes have a beneficial effect on the heart and blood vessels, that they reduce and regulate blood pressure, help lose the extra weight, ensure psychological balance and reduce psychological tension, reduce and regulate blood sugar, improve blood circulation, prevent certain types of cancer, strengthen the muscles, ligaments and joints and increase their strength, improve our fitness abilities and general physical condition, prolong life and make it happier.
What else is there but to go walking! We are using this opportunity to invite you to visit us in Rabac and Labin which offer numerous walking and hiking possibilities.
