Rabac

LabinYou might have noticed that in the last 30 days, that is how old this blog is, our posts concentrated mostly on various themes and information in reference to our four destinations. Porec, Dubrovnik, Rabac and Krk will further… as well as everything you can find and that goes on there…, keep the leading role in our posts. Beside the fact that we want this place to become the most comprehensive source of inormation on activities, events, history, culture and tourism in our destinations, we will from time to time post infomormation on particular current actions from the Valamar offer. This time it is a voucher for free sightseeing of Labin, accompanied by guide for our guests accommodated in Rabac, organised every Tuesday and Thursday from10 until 11.30 a.m.

Well…, the fact is that we could write a number of posts on Labin and its surroundings, as well as what to see and experience there, namely different types of guests prefer different things, but we can say for certain that there only a few things are that won’t leave you breathless, regardless to your preferences. First we’d like to single out the view from the gazebo Fortica over Rabac, surrounding and the Gulf of Kvarner, primarily the island of Cres.

Labin is situated on a hill 320 m above Rabac and exactly this mixture of green steeps at the foot of U?ka and open seablue is the thing that stays in your memory even after you’ve gone home. Of course, the visual effect is not the only thing that makes this town so interesting. The spirit of Labin can be experienced best if you take a walk down the specific steep streets of the Old Town, we warmly recommend you visit the Town museum, where you’ll find an archaeological-ethnological collection of truly valuable and rare exhibits. Also, you can find here the always fascinating artists’ studios, memorial collection of Matija Vla?i? Ilirik, the famous reformer born in Labin in 1520 and numerous other places of interest… After the walk and sightseeing you can cool off and drink something refreshing on one of the Labin’s summer terraces. And afterwards slowly return to the beach in Rabac:)
