Island of love

Although Valentine’s Day is officially over and I probably should have written about the following topic earlier, it really makes no difference, lovers should celebrate their love every day, not only on 14 February! Did you know that there is an island of love in Croatia and that it is in the shape of a heart? If not, here are some interesting facts. The island of love is really called Galešnjak and it is located in the area between Zadar and the island of Pašman. It became famous after its shape appeared on the Google Earth application and it soon became a hit destination for lovers from all over the world who wanted to spend Valentine’s Day on this very island. The interesting thing is that not even the owner of this uninhabited small island, now known as the Island of Love, knew that the island was shaped like a heart and it is now, according to the British Daily Telegraph, swamped with requests sent by couples who would like to spend Valentine’s Day there. Nobody lives on the island and, as Vlado Jureško, the owner of the island, says, if lovers want to be alone, then this is the perfect deserted island for them.
Apart from the Island of Love, I invite you to spend your holiday and romantic moments together in Rabac, the pearl of Kvarner and enjoy the romantic offer and romantically decorated rooms of the Valamar Sanfior Hotel. And as far as the island of Galešnjak goes, you can think of it as an interesting destination for an excursion during your stay here.
