Camp Marina, located on the east coast of the Istrian peninsula at Sveta Marina near Labin, is an ideal place for camping. While I have not tried it myself, I did not know what charms there are to a vacation in the camp. When you are nicely settled in, you can walk around the camp, go down to the beach; unlimber the body on the sand or by swimming, or simply enjoying the surroundings. For those who love adventure, we recommend that they discover the undersea world and take advantage of the diving center and school that is located right in the camp.
Camp Marina is very well known to diving enthusiasts, who come here to explore the diverse underwater world. We offer attractive diving locations for experienced divers and for those who are just about to discover the charms of diving in the immediate vicinity of the camp:
- 2 underwater walls at a depth of 50 meters
- an underwater tunnel girdled by stone walls that extends to a depth of 40 meters
- a diverse and preserved plant and animal world
- the wreckage of the Italian merchant ship Lina, sunk in 1912. The bow of the ship rests in 28 meters of water, while the stern is at 55 meters. The ship is 70 meters long with a beam of 10 meters. The hull is well preserved, and has large, visible storage holds. This location is recommended for experienced divers because of the depth of the ship, although since the visibility is very good, beginning divers can view the wreckage from their depth limit.
After a diving adventure and a good dinner, enjoy yourself in front of your temporary home and enjoy the peace and beauty.
