Roberto Zuliani, bar manager, has just returned from World Bartender’s Championship in Warsaw, where he came third in the “long drink” category. His ruby-coloured and attractively garnished cocktail named “Concubina” represented Croatia in competition of more than 60 countries around the world. Quiet and self-effacing, Robert is a huge cocktails fan who has spent years perfecting the art of preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and has shown his extraordinary talent and professionalism at this competition. During the seven minutes he had at his disposal in front of the judges he stirred, added, mixed and poured the ruby red cocktail and won the judges’ highest marks for the practical work, which is evaluated separately.
Although he had a hard job, especially considering that the representative of Poland, host country, was in his group and enjoyed the greatest support of the viewers, Croatia and the Valamar group have once again shown they have world-class bartenders.
