The winners of “Porec dolphin”
Few days ago we announced a swimming event “Porecki delfin” and today we bring you the results of the swimming marathon held in Saturday (1st September). We have already mentioned that alongside with the professional from the clubs amateurs and swimming lovers could also participate in the marathon. This was also the last marathon of the season that was marked for “Cro Cup” in distance swimming.
A rather large number of participants took part in the competition – 30 lady swimmers and 81 swimmer form eight countries (Slovakia, Italy, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Romania and Croatia). The overall winner was Rok Kerin from Slovenia who managed to swim through the 5 km long lane (golden dolphin) in 1:01:41, which made him 39 seconds faster than Dinko Juki? who won the second place and the Hungarian Balasz Sasvar who won the third place.
With our home competitors there were no surprises. Krešimir Cac from the Distance Swimming Club and Recreation “Porec” was best ranked and won the fifth place and was only 2.44 minutes behind the first ranked Slovenian.
The first place among women won the 18-year-old Hungarian Erika Hajnal from Budapest. She swam the 5 km long lane in 1:05:38 hours and made it to the finish 12 seconds before the best Croatian marathoner, the 15-year-old Karla Šiti? from the Split “Grdelin”, and 31 seconds faster than the “local girl” Anja Triši? from KDPSR “Porec”, Pula.
