September days are like made for recreational bicycle rides along the arranged cycling paths. On the last September weekend, from 25 until 27 September, bicyclists will be able to ride their bikes organized, recreationally or to try their chances in a race “Istra MTB Tartufi Tour”. Host towns for the races are: Funtana, Tar and Vizinada. For the first two days, the racing tracks are of 32 and 47 kilometres. The third race takes place on 27 September under the name Maraton Parenzana Cannondale, and is 74 kilometres long. These sections are the longest, with climbs of 150 to 1470 metres long. The drivers are arranged in three categories.

Recreational cycling tour Parenzana, starting in Istrian small town Vizinada, has been attracting many bicyclists for fourteen years in a row. The start of the recreational cycling tour in the length of 46.7 kilometres is on Sunday, 27 September at 10 a.m.. Popularly named „marathon Parenzana“, it is the biggest cycling event in Istria, and at the end of the cycling season, considered as the “queen” of the recreational tourism in Istria. Parenzana was named after narrow-gauge Austrian and Hungarian railway connecting Trieste with Porec through a series of Istrian small towns, for 123 kilometres long. The railway was in function from 1902 until 1935, and today, a part of the track is rearranged for cycling and tracking paths wounding through Istrian hills.
