The Lanterna settlement in Porec welcomed the Spring Jam 2010 manifestation for the fourth time in a row from 13 to 16 May. More than one thousand and five hundred students, mostly from Austria, enjoyed the whole-day and whole-evening entertainment and sports activities, such as the beach volleyball tournament and go-kart, over four days, and well-known performers Xzibin and DJs were entertaining them, as well the inevitable karaoke programme and the Miss Wet T-Shirt and Mister Sixpack competitions. The students spent a dynamic weekend with lots of fun, enjoying the so called “Porec Zrce”. The well-known Austrian TV channel, MTV Adria, filmed the students, just like last year. We are looking forward to another “Spring Jam 2010” manifestation which will be even more fun and which will take place at Lanterna again this month, from 21 to 24 May. 

The “El Vescovo de Porta Vescovo” carnival association from Verona will be staying at the Porec hotel Zagreb, from 28 to 30 May. Masked people of Verona have a long tradition of organizing carnival gatherings and they have been staying in our hotels for several years in a row. More than two hundred masked people will take part in the procession this year. The masked procession will start at 8:15 p.m. on 29 May at the Porec waterfront and it will pass the streets of the old town and arrive to the central town square. The procession will end at Trg slobode (Liberty Square), where the public will have the opportunity to see the masks. The party with lots of music will continue until the sun rises!
