At the Leading Campings of Europe association assembly held in Zell am See in Austria, Lanterna campsite was included into this elite company of Europe’s finest campsites. The organisation gathers 32 best campsites in Europe and from now on, Valamar’s Lanterna campsite will be one of them.

In a thorough campsite quality research, confirmed by results obtained through Mystery Shopping activities and conducted by the owner of one of the campsites that are members of the organisation, the Lanterna campsite met very demanding criteria. In fact, from overall 21 thousand campsites in Europe, only 32 are members of the Leading Campings of Europe association.

The Leading Campings of Europe association was founded by owners of some of the best campsites in 1994 with a goal of taking campsite services quality to a highest possible level through mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences. Being a part of such a prestigious crowd is a great honour. A constant promotion of the campsite offer, remarkable environmental awareness confirmed by many certificates and top notch services and staff are only a fragment from the bundle of references that need to be provided if you are a member of the elite campsite association.

Our quality was also recognised by our faithful guests from Slovenia, as on the same date in Ljubljana at the festival called “Festival kamping & karavaning”, the Camping Lanterna and Camping Jezevac got the Best Campsite in 2011 award.

Organisers of this event for twenty thousand campers in Slovenia were the campsite magazine Avto-Dom, a specialised tourist website Dobro jutro, Slovenija! and a camping web-site avtokampi.si. Camping Lanterna in Porec won the third place in the category of Istrian large campsites and Camping Jezevac won the second place in the category of large campsites in the Kvarner area.

Lanterna spreads over three kilometres of beautiful coastline and is a proud owner of the Blue Flag award and numerous acknowledgements for excellence in outdoor tourism, most important being the ADAC Superplatz 2011 – the Red Plaque Award - awarded by Europe’s largest automobile club ADAC.

Camping Jezevac has been the proud winner of this prestigious award used by the Croatian Camping Union to present the highest quality campsites for three years. It won the prestigious award thanks to its beautiful location right by the sea, its rich gastronomic and trade offer, numerous sports and recreational amenities coupled with a high level of sanitary facilities equipment.
