Porec

From 6 to 29 November an international photo biennale, 4th Photodistorzija (photo distortion), will be held in Porec. The exhibition of photographs will take place on six different locations in the town.

This year’s selectors Sabina Salamon, Ketrin Milicevic Mijosek and Petra Pocanic have chosen fifty photographers, among one hundred of them who had sent their applications, whose works were presented on both joint and individual exhibitions. The photographers will present their work on the following locations in the historical heart of the town of Porec: Istrian Assembly Hall, Zuccato Gallery, Prestine Regional Museum, theatre foyer, Mala galerija and the multimedia “I” atelier. The works will also be shown in the bookshop window located on Trg slobode (Liberty Square).

Photography as a product, media and an unavoidable form of communication in modern society has intrigued photographers from Croatia, but abroad as well, who have shown their view of the world around them in their own special way. Amateurs, professionals, they all equally participate in the fourth edition of the Porec exhibition, showing photographs from classic analogous to digital ones and photographs as clean documents to additionally manipulated or computer generated ones.

The old heart of the town has taken on a new life during these autumn days. Numerous visitors are going round galleries, along the Decumanus Street and the surrounding ones, visiting all locations where the works are exhibited. Come to Porec and join the autumn Porec photodistorzija!
