‘Drunken night 1918. ‘ – premiere of the Ulysses Theatre
Today and tomorrow – on August 10th and 11th, the production ‘Drunken night 1918.’ will have its first run in performance of the Ulysses Theatre on the Brijuni islands. The production is based on the short story ‘Drunken November night 1918.’ by the bard of Croatian literature, Miroslav Krleža, and it presents the last years of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, a historically very important period for this region. Beside the motifs from the short story, through the play run a number of fragments from other works written by Krleža. Director of the show is Lenka Udovicki, playwrights are Ivo and Tena Štivici?.
Jazz in Lapidarij – three concerts still to come in August
On our blog we have already mentioned the traditional Jazz programme under the name ´Jazz in Lapidarij´ that has every Wednesday from July 27th until today filled the Porec Old Town with sounds of top jazz music from all over the world. There are three concerts yet to come on Jazz in Lap :
