In the last few posts we have been announcing events which we think one should visit during their stay in Istria. But, the best is yet to come Namely, now is the peak of the summer season so the great number of events and activities taking place all around Istria don’t come as surprise to us – beside the standard high-quality offer of cultural and enternainment events, concerts, exhibitions, festivals…., there’s a great number of sports events, eno-gastronomic festivities, but also folk celebrations and similar events in smaller towns.

Today we’d like to draw your attention to two big concerts taking place in the Pula Arena as a part of the Histria Festival, within the framework of which in the period between July 7th until today five big performances haven taken place on the premises of the National park Brijuni and the Arena, mostly classical music concerts and ballet productions, whereas today we’d like to announce something a bit different.

The first concert will take place on August 1st, when Zucchero will perform, and on Friday, August 10th the second, according to the author of this text, the most interesting concert of the season in Istria, where the 28-year-old singing star from New York, the one and only Norah Jones will perform. The list of the great names of popular and classical music that have alreday performed among the ancient walls of the Arena, let us mention just a few: Jamiroquai, Luciano Pavarotti, Sting, Cesaria Evora, Placido Domingo, Alanis Morissette…, will be richer for one more in August, namely Norah Jones. While Zucchero has already performed on front of Croatian audience, this is the first time that Norah is performing here.

We needn’t even point out that Arena can have an inspiring effect on an artist, so expect nothing less than real spectacles from concerts that take place here. There’s no doubt that Zucchero’s hits like Baila morena, Senza una donna
… or Norah’s Don’t know why, Come Away With Me, Sunrise… will get the audience on their feet and guarantee everybody a great time and a pleasant musical entertainment.
