National Park Brijuni - Video
We started this week with a video, and today we will round up this week’s “trilogy“ with a panoramic video of Brijuni, an archipelago and national park situated vis-à-vis the Southwestern part of the Istrian peninsula, opposite Fažana. This video was taken the same day as the video on Pore? that we released yesterday.
Brijuni in a few words: Brijuni is an archipelago, it consists of 14 islands, the biggest of which are Veliki and Mali Brijun. It was proclaimed national park on 27th October,1983. The story of man’s life on this archipelago began in the third millenium B.C. when an ethnically unknown community came to live on Brijuni, leaving traces of its existence. Beside the many archaeological sites and localities on the islands that provide an insight into the changes and migrations of people in the course of history (Histri, Celts, Romans, Croats…) on Brijuni, you also find protected zoological and botanical reserves with numerous species from all over the world. Additionally, there are various other events that take place Brijuni and attract numerous visitors. We would like to single out the Ulysses Theatre with its interesting repertoire. Here you can check what its crew has prepared for us this year.
