Make original Christmas gifts
Wed, Dec 2, 2009
Although December has just begun, I can rightfully say that the Christmas and New Year’s holidays are right around the corner. I have always loved this time of year; decorating the Christmas tree and exchanging gifts, Christmas carols, towns and their holiday decorations, smiling faces and most of all the comfort and warmth we feel around people dear to us. St. Nikola’s Day is drawing near and I hope all of you who behaved well during the year will get something nice and those that didn’t and who might get a twig as a gift will have to improve their behaviour and perhaps receive a gift next year
.
We are aware of the fact the gifts are a Christmas tradition and I think that the gifts you will make and wrap yourselves are of a much greater value than the expensive things lurking from the glittering store windows. And of course, they let the persons you are giving them to know that you have made an effort and thought about them while making them.
Here are a few examples and ideas of how to make original gifts on your own!
- Bake the typical and favourite holiday pastry, wrap it up nicely and don’t forget to put a card with good wishes onto the Christmas decoration. Your dearest ones will be thrilled!
- Write down a recipe and buy all the necessary ingredients. Wrap up every ingredient and make a gift basket putting them together with the recipes!
- Make a body peeling product! You wonder how? Easily
. Mix rosemary or lavender flowers with unrefined sea salt and give them a good stir in order for the salt to take in their scent. Add extra virgin olive oil and leave it for a while. Pour the mixture into a decorated glass bottle, seal it well and leave it on room temperature for seven days. Don’t forget to put a decoration on it or to write the name of the person it is intended for on the glass.
I hope I have given you an idea or two for the upcoming Christmas holidays. Have fun making original gifts and cheer up your dearest ones!
