Istrafest in Pula, big tourist festival in Porec

On Monday, 1 September the aroma of Istrian delicacies, and fish and meat specialties, will spread through the center of Pula. This is Istrafest, a gastronomic event held on the Giardini, a popular Pula walking area. There will be stands offering Istrian wines, olive oil, and honey from domestic producers. All this and a lot more - promotional prices on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The price for an Istrian meal will be 20 kunas, and for only eight kunas you can refresh yourself with a glass of Istrian wine. Students from the “Ivan Mateti? Ronjgov” Music School will also be staging a traditional Istrian musical event, playing Istrian instruments.
The Porec tourist festival, known as the “Porec 24 Hours”, which will be held on the last weekend in August, will attact many visitors. The program will begin on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with an appearance by the local band, Baredinosaurusi, followed at 6:00 p.m. by a rope-pulling tournament. There will be an all-day offering of gastronomic delights. In the evening on the streets of the town and the riva you will be able to listen and dance to the music of Ritmo Loco and Radolfi, the groups Matrix, Gustafa and the Goran Grif Band, while on the mole for the island of Sveti Nikola a younger crowd will be dancing to a DJ til dawn with a lot more decibels.
On Saturday, the festival will also begin at 11:00 a.m. with a performance by Baredinosaurusa. The main evening entertainment by the group The Animals will make for a hot August night. For a somewhat lighter experience, you can listen to the Trio Rio and Jozefina and Vesna Neži? Ruži? and the duo Magnolia on the Marafor Square. You will certainly want to dance.
