Porec: “Adrijatik – crossroads of cultures”

The Istrian Parliament Building (Istarska sabornica) in Porec will on the September 14th, at 8 p.m. , in organization of the Open University, host the opening of the exhibition ‘Adrijatik – crossroads of cultures’. The exhibition is organised as part of the international manifestation ‘Rassegna di pittura Marina di Ravenna’. It features the works of approximately 50 artists and Porec is the second town to host this exhibition. Before being mounted here this exhibition, now being held for the 51st time, was traditionally held in August, from 22nd until 25th in the little town Marina di Ravenna.

Water, water everywhere – exhibition in Labin

The Labin Town Gallery (Gradska galerija), is from September 12th until October 1st hosting the exhibition of the artist duo Tomislav Curkovic and Nikola Ukic. The exhibition shows a unique spatial installation “Water, water everywhere” that was thought out and implemented by this duo. The installation covers the walls and the floor of the central show room in the Labin Town Gallery completely.

Exhibition of the works of Eugen Kokot in Porec

The exhibiton of the works of the academic painter Eugen Kokot was opened last week in the Gallery Zuccato in Porec, it will run until October 6th 2007. Here’s one quote from the preface of Milan Beslic that will in the best way introduce the exhibition: “Hasn’t Eugen Kokot during all these decades transposed the landscape and ‘processed’ the tame Istrian fields in the ‘material reality’ of the art of painting generating a visual password as an authentic sign of its existence?!
