Tue, Oct 6, 2009
Pula, a town full of the Roman sights in the very south of the Istrian Penninsula, is the Hand made fest host for the seventh time. A handicraft festival full of imagination and various designs will take place in the Croatian Defenders House in Pula from 16 to 18 October 2009.
This festival attracts numerous interested visitors and handicrafts buyers. Heritage and tradition preservation of single localities, living memory of old ancient trades and crafts, passing the knowledge and skills on to younger generations; these are only some of the goals of this three-day festival.
The program of the festival is very diverse and rich. Within the large Croatian Defenders House area various artists, painters and sculptors will meet. There will be no lack of hobbyists, creative associations of designs, arrangers and flower, ornament or interior decorators…
The admirers of traditional and artistic crafts will discover the skilled handicrafts of lace makers, potters and wood and glass cultivators. And the admirers of healthy nourishment, beverages and eco products (honey, smoked ham, cheese, cakes and wine) will have a chance to enjoy some tasteful bites. And in the end, the services of aroma therapists, beauticians and hair dressers will be provided for the body embellishments, while the always present performers will be in charge of the entertainment.
