In the last text of the category Krk we talked about the “Sommer manifestations in Krk”, a manifestation with almost the oldest tradition on the Adria. Within the scope of the Sommer manifestations many interesting events have already taken place on Krk this year, and parallel to this festival there are numerous cultural, entertaining and sports programmes taking place and they definitely deserve to be mentioned. Although we are now in the 2nd half of the month of August, the number of interesting events won’t decrease that soon, so visitors of Krk will be able to in the following days enjoy a wide offer of various mainfestations :

Today (Monday, August, 20th) at 9 p.m. you can experience the real tradition of the island of Krk on Vela placa where the folk ensemble ´Punat´ will perform, entrance is free of charge.
Some 30 minutes afterwards, at 9.30 p.m. a classical music concert is scheduled to start on Frankopanski kaštel (Frankopan castle), performed by Slavko Sekuli? and Natalie Marytcheva.

On Tuesday, August 21st, in the Volsonis bar, as part of the programme ´Volsonis Jazz Garden Festival´ jazzers ´Satelite Trio´ will perform. We’d like to point out that this concert too is free of charge.

Wednesday and Thursday (August 22nd and 23rd) are once again reserved for traditional sounds and dances of the island of Krk, namely the inhabitants of Krk and their guests will be entertained on Vela Placa by the ´Town band of Krk´ and the folk ensemble ´Radi? – Korni? Brothers´.

On Friday, August 24th, Frankopanski kaštel (Frankopan castle) should be filled with laughter, namely you can expect a real show from the stand-up comedy “Sve 5? that regulary knocks the audience of its feet.
For the end we should mention a manifestation starting on Saturday, August 25th that will last for one week, namely the international literary festival “Pontes 2007?.
