In this post we bring to you a location that is definitely worth visiting during your stay on the island of Krk. It is an unusual combination of two apparently incompatible things, and we should also mention that the place we are presenting in this post located in the immediate vicinity of our facilities - Hotel Koralj and Camp Ježevac, only a few minutes walk away.

Crowded beaches and a lot of swimmers in the sea are certainly not a strange sight in the summer season on the island of Krk and it is what comes first to mind to most people when you mention the island. While you’re packing your stuff to come here, the inevitable accessories you should bring along are certainly sunscreen, deck chair, sun glasses, beach umbrella…

Ok, this goes without saying because it’s practically impossible to imagine a day on the island without these objects. You will most certainly need them, but… let’s try this one-word question, just in case. Here it goes: Ice skates? Yes, you read well, do you have those two thingies that you put on your feet and use for darting across and pirouetting on the ice? If the answer is yes, you should definitely pack them in the suitcase, along with the sunscreen and the sun glasses. Just in case.

What’s this all about? This year, for the very first time in the city of Krk, on the surface of 800 m2 an indoor summer skating rink opened. It’s an attractive facility where all of those who got tired of swimming, can come and test their skills of manoeuvring on ice, with the additional cooling effect ice-skating offers. Not only will they be able to skate every day from 9 am to 2 am (up until the end of August), but they will also enjoy good music while skating at the Krk rink, which makes this place a potential new nightlife meeting place of the island.
