Our destinations Rabac and Krk host once again, the music festival Melodies of Istria and Kvarner. The festival visits the towns of Istria and Kvarner every year, and this year, on 22 June, the caravan of the Melodies of Istria and Kvarner Festival will arrive at the Krk waterfront, and on 23 June at the waterfront in Rabac.

Melodies of Istria and Kvarner is a festival during which you can enjoy the ethno music of that region which is based on the Istrian scale, one of the most interesting musical phenomena in the world. The Melodies of Istria and Kvarner Festival is extremely popular and the crowded squares, waterfronts, concerts etc. are the best proof of it.

Besides the ethno music characteristic for the festival, I also want to emphasize that the songs are written in the chakavian dialect ( Cro. cakavica), the oldest form of Croatian language spoken in this part of Croatia. That way, apart from enjoying the songs full of happiness and warmth, you will be able to get to know our region culturally and linguistically as well.
