Walking is the most widely spread recreational activity accessible to all generations which can be practiced almost everywhere and in any time. It has been scientifically proved that only 30 minutes of daily walk helps to preserve one’s good health. Because of all positive effects, the World Health Organization proclaimed the October 5 to be the World Walking Day.
In Krk this day will be characterized with a manifestation known as ”Let Us Walk the Autumn in Krk”. Within the manifestation, from October 3 to October 5 at the waterfront in the town of Krk there will be held a small ”Autumn fare” at which the producers of food and indigenous souveniers from all around Croatia will be displaying their goods, alongside the walking gear merchants.
On Saturday October 4, we invite you to join the organized walking tour which starts at 10:00 AM at the waterfront in Krk. The goal of this tour is to arrive to the Valbiska cove, where the walkers can refresh them selves with the domestic food. One-way tour lasts around two and a half hours and it will be headed by professional guides. The tour trek passes through the ancient farm hand’s paths next to the olive-groves, dry stone walls, pasture-grounds and woods. For the walkers in good shape there follows the return along the same route, and the rest of them have a possibility of free transport to the town of Krk. At 5:00 PM at the waterfront starts an entertaining programme with the welcoming of walkers and presentaton of rewards.
