Even though we are already in autumn, in this post we want to acquaint you with the beaches of Krk. Maybe it is just some proposed ideal for you annual vacation next year, but when you start to plan you summer holiday, keep it in mind.
The bathing areas and beaches on Krk were set up at the beginning of the 20th century. The municipal beaches are mostly gravel with concrete sunbathing areas and other attractions.

On Krk we can be proud of the beaches that carry the Blue Flag (an international ecological program for the protection of the sea and coastal areas), including those at the Ježevac Camp and the Politin Naturalist Camp, as well as the municipal beaches.
On the Portapisan beach you can rest with a view of the eternal ruins of the Krk walls. The beach in front of the Hotel Valamar Koralj is situated in a beautiful cove with a sandy bottom right next to a pine forest.

At the Krk beaches you will find refreshment in the sea, or even in the hospitality facilities along the sea. For everyone who also brings a pet on vacation we recommend the beach for dogs, which you can reach if you start from the Hotel Valamar Koralj along the coast and head toward the Naturalist Camp Politin.
If you want to spend your vacation enjoying some of the natural beaches with the song of cicadas, you can continue along the coast and enjoy small beaches that take a little effort to reach by walking, or more elegantly – by boat.
