Island of Krk

Croatia has been well-known for its long-lasting tradition of being the Mediterranean paradise for camping enthusiasts. Due to its beautiful locations and offer which keeps on improving, Croatian campsites are popular and well-known, particularly among foreign tourists. The camping tourism in Croatia is well-developed and covers a large surface area, and the Croatian campsites are known for the fact that they are mostly located on attractive and highly preserved locations in the midst of nature, often right by the sea.

One of such campsites is Valamar’s Camping Ježevac, a destination situated in the vicinity of the old heart of the historical town of Krk, which is for the most part covered with pine trees, with a 800-meter-long pebble and rock beach and numerous recreational contents at the guests’ disposal. Traditionally, as it was the case over the past years, both the offer and the contents were improved again this spring. Due to a large demand for luxurious mobile houses, Ježevac will welcome this season with 12 new units. Horticultural division of the surfaces intended for campers and caravans has also been carried out in order to increase the guests’ comfort.  This way, the campsite was enriched with greenery and Mediterranean vegetation, which entice the guests to rent “their own apartment in nature” as they like to call it.

The increase regarding the guests’ satisfaction has been noticed due to the quality improvements in terms of the offer and accommodation. Camping Ježevac keeps the youngest ones in mind as well; a significant resources have been invested into the children’s playground and various props they can play with. Being located right by the sea has a lot of advantages; the parents can relax at the beach and the children can have lots of fun. The beach bistro has been only one in the series of investments and attempts to improve the offer, as well as the food delivery within the campsite. The vicinity of the beach, which was awarded the Blue flag for the eighth year in a row, also contributes to the campsite’s high rating. We hope that all of the above sounds tempting enough for you to think about visiting this green tourist oasis.
