In order to turn the newly initiated sporting event into a Krk tradition, this year again, on 13 September to be exact, the second “Bodul Bike” will be held, a cycling event which will take place on the promenades around the town of Krk. The cycling is recreational, intended for people who like being active, who lead a healthy life and love the natural beauty of the town’s surroundings. A lot of effort has been put into the maintenance of the cycling trails which contribute to the island’s tourist offer, whose ultimate goal is to develop cycling tourism in this area.

Such efforts fit into the transformation of Krk as one of the strongest cycling destinations in Croatia. Krk makes an excellent area for cycling since it is covered with numerous trails which pass by interesting locations. Since the cycling route is divided into a shorter straight stage and a longer one with hills, everyone can take part in the cycling event, from the youngest to the oldest among our fellow citizens. It is also a great opportunity to spend some quality time together and to do it in an active way.

Those who don’t have a bicycle can rent it at the Valamar Koralj Hotel and the interesting thing, which thrills many couples, hotel guests, is the possibility of renting a romantic tandem bicycle. Certainly an experience you mustn’t miss out on.
