3 interesting facts: Island of Krk

In the year 1288 they drew up the Vinodol Code (Vinodolski zakonik), and in the year 1388 the Vrbnik Statute (Vrbni?ki statut).

They originated from Vrbnik, whereas they had expanded their properties also onto mainland, to the area of Primorje and Lika, and at the peak of their power they owned territory half the size of Croatia today.
(3) Did you know that in the ancient times Krk was called “Insula Aurea” (the golden island) due to its richness of sea and soil.
