Never before have the jumpers “challenged the depths” from the height of 26 m on eight competitions in a row, with the first taking place in Dubrovnik on 11 July at the cliffs under Fort Lovrijenac. And by the way, Dubrovnik was already a host to the brave wingless flyers in 2000.

Orlando Duque, a nine-time world champion, will lead the “seagulls” during this year’s competition. While diving into the water, jumper’s body is exposed to strong forces which are nine times stronger than during the 10-meter high jumps. Only a limited number of jumps can be taken in one day to prevent any kind of risk regarding the jumpers. Only 30 to 40 athletes have the ability to do this kind of exclusive and extreme international sport. Twelve great jumpers from nine countries have been chosen to compete for the championship title at the largest world tour ever and the organizer of each competition has the right to deliver one or two invitations (wild cards) to the local jumpers.
