Dubrovnik - Jet Set Destination
Fri, Aug 6, 2010
The most southern pearl of Croatia and the Adriatic Sea is becoming more and more attractive to the world-class stars, who select it as a top destination they simply must visit.
This season, a Hollywood actor Gerard Butler was among the first to visit Dubrovnik, relaxing on a luxury yacht in the company of the director Ralph Fiennes, far away from prying glances.
At the beginning of July, a famous acting couple arrived to Dubrovnik by a private jet - Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, spending their holidays without any VIP treatment at all.
After them, the Town was visited by the most famous housewife, Eva Longoria, and her husband Tony Parker, a basketball player. Full of impressions, Eva and Tony left Croatia fascinated by natural beauties, hospitality, food…
After a plethora of famous faces marching through Dubrovnik during the “Let’s DU it” week, such as: John McEnroe, Gerhard Schroeder, Gabourey Sidibe, Paco de Lucia… an American actor Dennis Franz, detective Sipowicz from planetary popular NYPD Blue, took a walk along Stradun, as well as the Oscar-winning Michael Caine with his wife Shakira Baksh.
Cream on top were: one of the most significant contemporary actor, the Oscar-winning Morgan Freeman, who said he will return to Dubrovnik, and the most photographed woman in Great Britain, a top model and, as of recently, a very successful business woman, Caprice Bourret.
However, that is not the end of it! Numerous other stars announced that they will visit Dubrovnik, and if you happen to be at the right place in the right time - you may just meet them in person on Stradun or at one of Valamar hotels.
