Dubrovnik in wintertime
Fri, Nov 28, 2008
Dubrovnik during wintertime is different than it is during summertimes, it is undiscovered and unknown. That is the real city of Dubrovnik, the city of history and science. Take a walk through Dubrovnik during wintertimes, with your city-guide in the group, or by yourself, or with someone special to you, and you will get to know an amazing, beautiful city you could not even imagine. And when you get tired, have a seat in one of the numerous dining objects on Stradun or in nearby streets. Come, listen to the concerts, visit the national theatre, take a walk on the city walls, visit one of the numerous museums, an aquarium in the St. John fortress, visit the exhibition in one of around ten showrooms and galleries, take photographies, make conversations, think, daydream…
The free Dubrovnik Winter Card will make it possible for you to use ninety discount within range from five to fifty percent, for all guests who spend at least two nights in hotel or private accomodation in Dubrovnik in the period from Novemebr 1 2008 to February 28 2009. The discounts are reserved for cinema tickets, theatre, concerts, museums, gallery services, restaurants, pizzerias, tourist agencies, wellness centres, beauty centres, hotels, boutiques, an so on. The cards can be taken, and must be verified at the receptions in hotels, or in tourist offices of the Touristic Community of the City of Dubrovnik.
If we add to the aforementioned the traditional and thematic events during the winter period (occasional Christmas concerts, New Year programme on Stradun, Festa 2008, St. Blassius Festivity and the City of Dubrovnik Day, Carnival of Dubrovnik or so called karnevo, etc.), we can say that the winter offering in Dubrovnik is quite different and unique.
