Circle of Friends of Julian Rachlin in Austria

They are uncrowned masters of high music folly, they mix Mozart with James Bond, combine Lang Lang with karate, play the violin with the milk whisk and spend free time under the shower playing the violin - but alone! But not everything is funny.
Igudesman & Joo are serious virtuosos and classical musicians. They are well-known, not funny musicians – that is not the reason why classical music is known as “E music”. One couldn’t be more wrong by saying that Richard Hyung - ki joo (the piano) and Alexey Igudesman (the violin) are not serious musicians. The two met while attending the Yehudi Menuhin Music School. They have been inseparable ever since. When they are not performing with other prominent musicians, they shake the music scene foundations. They prefer to spend their time with their colleagues Janine Jansen, Mischa Maisky, Renaud Capucon, Hillary Hahn, Lawrence Power and Kim Wilde who helped them test the strength of humour in this film. They weren’t afraid even of James Bond himself; after all, Roger Moore is one of the persons taking part in their stage performance. When good friends are concerned, they gladly play the Mozart’s Ronda alla Turca, either in Indian or Chinese style…
Igudesman&Joo combine stand-up comedy, British humour and impeccable violin and piano performances in a unique way. They help you discover new music and sports disciplines such as throwing the violin bow, and they ask their celebrity friends questions no one else would. The film follows both comedians through what often seems to be a bizarre world of classical music events and discovers what you should know about serious musicians.
