Preparations for the New Year’s Eve party, a manifestation thanks to which Dubrovnik has been one of the most attractive world destinations in the past ten years, are underway.

The traditional Christmas Fair was open for public in the Sponza Palace Atrium in the old heart of the town on 13 December. Traditional crafts and handicrafts produced by the artists for the Christmas holidays will be presented under the Renaissance Sponza Palace arcades. The Christmas Fair will be open until 3 January 2010.

On New Year’s Eve morning, at Stradun, Dubrovnik harmony singing groups will say goodbye to the year 2009 with music, the traditional Dubrovnik kolenda manifestation and a whole-day entertainment programme, what will be the best possible introduction into the New Year’s Eve party.

A special treat for the town visitors will be the concert by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra at Stradun on the first day of the New 2010 at 12:30 am, which will present the most beautiful opera compositions that will additionally spice up the unforgettable New Year time in Dubrovnik.
