Top 5 cultural events at the Adriatic Sea you cannot miss this summer
1. Motovun Film Festival, from 27 to 31 July 2009 - Enjoy the 65 projections and 5 concerts in a unique atmosphere of this medieval small town. The MFF is this year’s recommendation by The Observer, the oldest weekly magazine in the world.
2. 5th Losinj Jazz festival, from 31 July to 2 August 2009 – Initiated by the Open University, Mali Losinj will be the host to the local and international renowned jazz musicians again this year. We single out the following from the programme: Simone Zanchini Quartet, Mr. Defunkt Joseph Bowie & The Bastardz All Starz featuring Mc Stewlocks.
3. Summer at Gradina – an extremely rich and various activities where everyone can find something for themselves. In August, we single out the stand up performance by Zeljko Pervan, the harmony singing groups miniatures and a performance by Rade Serbedzija. Summer at Gradina will last until 12 September 2009.
4. Ulysses – enjoy the unique atmosphere of a theatre under the stars alongside Shakespeare, Krleza and Moliere. The performances will take place until 23 August 2009.
5.Placido Domingo in Pula – one of the most famous tenors of his time will perform at the Arena in Pula on 7 August 2009 as part of the Histria Festival. It is enough to say: 130 roles in his opera repertoire, a natural talent for acting, a conductor…don’t miss it.
